All Star Batman 5

After “The Dark Knight Strikes Again”, Miller throws us fans another bone. Ignore the words here, as Diana comes across quite bitchy, and enjoy the impromptu kiss.

DC Comics Presents 32

This classic is just too sweet. A little fanfic-y with the whole “struck by cupid’s arrow” but I love it anyways. Diana does a lot of funny things here (be sure to look for the panel regarding Lois and a busy street). But what I find most endearing is how the two control their urges (for the most part) out of respect for their not-so-significant others.

Infinite Crisis 1

The infamous “breakage of the Trinity” occurs here. The bubbles are a little painful to read as some nasty things are said. Thankfully all is forgotten now.

JLA A League of One

One of my favorite graphic novels EVER. It’s a JLA story spotlighting Wonder Woman as she sacrifices herself to save her fellow leaguers. So what do we learn from this beautifully painted tale? 1) Diana kicks ass (ok, we already knew that) and 2) Superman is maybe, possibly harboring a secret love for his best friend (I guess we knew that too).

JLA Midsummer's Nightmare

Its been too long since I’ve read this so I sort of forget what happens. Something with the leaguers living normal lives where they forget who they really are. Anyways, guess who’s the one to bring Diana to her senses? You guessed it. Also, Clark pulls a cute little Aladdin stunt on the balcony when he asks Diana to trust him.

JLA Our Worlds at War

Set during the “Our Worlds at War” event, Superman reaches his breaking point when he thinks Diana dies. Notice while he holds her in his arms he doesn’t even notice the other leaguers who are floating around lifeless in space.

JLA v3 105

Diana is shaken by a near-death experience (like she doesn’t have them all the time) and the rest of leaguers are too big of dicks to talk to her about it. Even J’onn leaves her hanging on the watchtower, but at least he points her in the right direction. Once again Clark is her go-to guy, but maybe he reveals a little too much when he says he’d turn back time (ala Superman The Movie) to prevent her death…

Justice League of America 0

Ah, this came out prior to the latest reboot of the JLA. Lots of snippets here, supposedly comprising the past, present and future. Not much of a plot though, for a 32 page issue, besides the Trinity acting like emotional tampons (I think Superman cries like 3 times). At least we get our SM/WW moments!
